Anthologies

Recognizing the growing need for anthologies of literature on the war in Vietnam for general and classroom use, the center has introduced three major collections. Writing Between the Lines: An Anthology on War and its Consequences is a collection of writings covering the wars in Vietnam and Latin America. Contributors include members of the center's Writers Workshop faculty with a Preface provided by the late Denise Levertov. Mountain River: Vietnamese Writings from the Wars is a bilingual poetry collection which brings together the major Vietnamese writers of the 'other side" from the time of the war with the French through the period of normalization of relations with the U.S. Six Vietnamese Poets, the most recent collection brings together in a bilingual format six major writers from Vietnam from the period of the war with the U.S: Lam Thi My Da, Nguyen Khoa Diem, Xuan Quynh, Y Nghi, Nguyen Duc Mau, and Pham Tien Duat.
